Topic Dog Boards / General / Welfare in dog training

I was delighted to see this press release today -finally all the major organisations like the KC, the RSPCA, Dogs Trust, APDT, BVA etc etc are agreeing on something, and that something is that dog training along the lines of Cesar Millan is wrong!

The APBC have also issued a press release today -

...along similar lines and naming CM's methods as aversive and outdated. I've also been in contact with the PR manager of the American Humane Association regarding CM's comment on the BBC Breakfast Show that they were in 'approval' of his methods, which was a patent mistruth. They will be meeting with his foundation in January to discuss various things.

All good stuff!

Shame that the KC isn't included in the list of organisations that don't approve of CM's methods :(

It is, no 7 on the list, you must have missed it :)

Ah yes, in the footnotes at the bottom - but no sign of the KC logo with all those others printed prominently at the top of the page :(

Not surprising I missed it - I suspect a lot of other people will also :(
