Awful! I've still to buy wrap and send many presents back home to my family. Got most of the kids bits in but none of it wrapped. Tree not up because I lost the decs in a house move and now I've got blummin swine flu that just won't shift from my chest!!
Had a fairly rough time this past year or so... next year had better be great!

I have one present left to buy. All others will be wrapped by the end of the week and putting my tree up on Saturday!
Wish it was as quick to do as it is to type :-)
Sorry to sound "bah humbug" but I haven't got any pressies, went shopping today, hate crowds etc, tried on eight dresses (didn't like any of them!) and came home with nothing!! I know why I am feeling grumpy, it's because my "kids" are now old (19 & 24) and when you ask them what they want, you get, " nothing, don't know, up to you" Well if I took them at their word there would be some shocked faces on Christmas Day!! I used to really enjoy finding that illusive toy they wanted (remember Tracy Island, transformers, Cabbage patch doll,My Little Pony!)
The final straw was when I was half in and half out of a dress in the changing room and the carpet shop phoned to say that the carpet due to be fitted Thursday had been discontinued ...... I came home to find that my son had been helpful and taken up all the carpet in the lounge!! so I have a real tree sitting in the conservatory (there wasn't any point putting it up!) carpet samples everywhere and bare boards.
Plus, a puppy who's first show is Saturday (at least there are plenty of pillars to hide behind at the NEC!)
Phew, I feeel better now, may go and have a drop of Christmas spirit to get me in the mood.....
Have a good one all.

Lazy Christmas here, just 2 mums over for dinner. Cards half written, don't have a tree no room with the dogs. Lights around landing window still up from last year so they're easy to switch on. Thought I'd get ahead & bought mince pies cake & pud. Hid them in eaves cupboard (no willpower if on show) & a mouse has got into the cake box - aaaahhh.

You wouldn't enjoy trying to get hold of a Go-Go-Hamster this year i can assure you !
I had to against my principles and get one at a pumped up price off Ebay .
Just imagine their delight though and the satisfaction of a job well done!! I'm sure it will last longer than any hamster we ever had!! Years ago we bought the top notch hamster house complete with elevated bed and observation tower (about £80) Hamster was so thrilled, it went into the tower and never woke up!!!!:(

Karen, I've been putting off Christmas shopping all week. I hate shopping at the best of times! Boyfriend is forcing me to go tomorrow :( - before I have to be back home for LKA. He doesn't understand that i'm planning on doing 90% of my shopping at LKA lol. That's what it's there for, right?

Ahh looking forward to seeing George! I'm sure you'll be fine, they have a bar at the NEC so you'll have nothing to worry about! :) lol See you there!
See you there Sarah, have just bathed him, not sure who is wetter. Just hoping there won't be many there watching and the pain won't last long !! I have a shopping list for LKA, at least all the people pushing through the crowds will be like minded doggy friends!
