PONTYPRIDD SETS THE CHRISTMAS MOOD!
Taking Kennel Club Chairman Ronnie Irving's suggestion that dog shows should be more fun, Pontypridd & District Canine Society is arranging an old-fashioned family day out on Saturday 19th December at the Tylorstown Sports Centre, beginning at noon.
The afternoon aims to combine a traditional dog match with a Christmas Party and there will be special prizes for Fancy Dress and Junior Handling classes.
Those great philanthropic supporters of the South Wales dog scene, Clive and Barbara Davies, have generously donated £100 for Best in Match, £50 for Best Adult and £50 for Best Puppy, and obviously CC and Reserve CC winners will be ineligible.
Further generous sponsorship has been provided by Eukanuba and all proceeds will go to Air Ambulance Wales, a most deserving charity.
Entries are just £3 per dog and there will be a Christmas Buffet provided, a licensed bar and a bumper raffle with some spectacular prizes.
The judge of the day will be the ever-popular Meriel Hathaway and it is expected that local fanciers will give the event their full support.
