Hi, I was just wondering what colour pups would come from an orange roan bitch and a blue roan dog?(is it true that parti-colours are less temperamental?)If a golden/orange pup has one small white spot, is he golden or orange roan? I want to thank everyone who has answered my Q's,you've been a great help!

It depends entirely on the genetic make-up of the two Cockers concerned - if the blue roan dog is dominant for blue roan & carries no other colour genes, then all the resulting puppies will be blue roan. If the blue roan parent carries the orange gene, then some of the puppies will be orange. Also it's possible for other colours like black & white & blue roan & tan to come through but only if both parents carry the genes for these colours.

A gold pup with one small white spot is a gold - the white spot does not alter this. An orange roan will have a mixture of orange/white hairs through out the coat with varying amounts of orange coloured patching.

I'm not sure what you mean by asking whether particolours are less temperamental. A well-reared, well-socialised pup from a reputable breeder will have a good temperament, regardless of it's colour. If you are perhaps asking about the rare condition called Rage Syndrome (which affects mainly the solid colours) then you will find more information here
