ok so one of my bitches had pups 21/2 weeks ago and she decided to start being a fussy eater, wont go near biscuits now and she used to loove them. anyway just ben giving her anything that she'll have at the moment tuna, macaroni, chicken, cocktail sausages, but will only eat something for one day then turn her nose up. i gave her macaroni one friday when the pups had just turned 2 weeks and she wouldnt eat it, i left it down anyway thinking she might pick at it. about an hour later i heard a noise and i thought she was eating it, i went to look and nearly fainted, the pups were standing round the bowl eating the macaroni! is this normal?

I wouldn't be leaving 2 week old pups unattended for an hour.  They sound as they're ready to start weaning but not on food that could choke them.

i was in the room actually. dont see how they could choke on mashed up macaroni

Awww bless um :) sounds like theyre ready ,and maybe if you make loads of food up and mum see's them eatting it ! when their done let mum in and im sure she will finish the rest off no problems ....my fussy eaters are very happy to finish off what the pups dont eat so i make loads up :)

Are you soaking the bitches food.  Cleaning up after the pups can make their mouths very sore.

Your best bet for weaning food is mashed puppy food, with lots of water or puppy milk or even goats milk to make it into a gruel/porridge.
