Some friends of mine live in Ireland & have bought a hound registered with the Irish KC. They are moving to England soon & want to show this pup eventually, I said I would ask you guys what you knew about IKC reg pups & whether it can be shown here/bred from & progeny registered with KC etc. Any info appreciated.

Hi Sam, shouldn't be any problems at all. Dogs are "imported" from Ireland all the time and are shown, worked and bred on from here in the UK :-)

I imported a bitch from Ireland and it was registered with the IKC. We had to get her registered with the English KC before we could show her. We had to apply to the IKC for a copy of the Pedigree and registration and then apply to register her with the English KC. It took ages as the IKC take their time ... very slowly! This was about 4 years ago, so it may have changed. I hope it has for your sake as it was a frustrating time trying to get hold of the IKC to find out what was happening.
