Hi, I hopefully have a pregnant bitch and was wondering if I got a stethoscope would i be able to hear any heart beats?
Has anyone use one?
Any tips?

I've never heard them, all that I heard when I placed them over where the pups were was like gurgling water.

i use a stethascope and could hear heart beats at just before 8 weeks.i love it.it obviously doesnt give you numbers but its lovely to hear the pups in there.my bitch will happily roll ovr and "show me" her belly.

Thanks, i think the price of £5.00 to buy one, its well worth ago, would love to be able to hear them inside, just fingers crossed the scan shows some puppies,

................I had a one for my bitch and once you get the hang its brilliant! You have to get past hearing all the swishing and gurgling noises from the bitch but once you do and you hear a tiny heartbeat you will be fit to burst with joy! I couldnt hear anything before 7 weeks though and was getting slightly paranoid. ;-(

Great fun and I will definately do it again for my next litter!
