I am still in shock, I need to service my van's back brakes and went into the nearest biggest town to buy braking pads/shoes. The guy at the motor factor told me that they had none in stock but expect a delivery on Saturday and to prove his point he showed me the empty box. Fair enough I thought and asked him for the price so that I would come with enough money. 59 Euros, he said and even wrote it down for me, nice man that he is, a bit cringeworthy for me but I had to bite the bullet.

I then waddled off to do my bit of grocery shopping and on my way home I remembered that there was another motor factor tucked away in a back street. Off I went and to my surprise he had them in stock and I nearly keeled over when he asked me for...

............ Euro 29!

I asked him twice to repeat it, they are even in the same box and probably from the same supplier.

Shopping around is all well and good but surely 30 Euros in the difference is ROBBERY!

just goes to show it's always worth shopping around.
saved you a bit of money in the end though and thats what really counts, although that really was a huge difference in price.
