Just walked Whistler (CS) up the lane a lage black cart was in a driveway it made its self huge and stalked stiff legged towards us and he nearly pulled my arms off running away!
All up the lane he kept looking over his shoulder and the cat kept stalking us for a long while. Blimey so much for being safe when out with my dog he's been scared off by a moggie!

What a sensible boy! Cats have 4 fists full of needle-sharp claws (18 altogether

) and some very sharp teeth, and this one was telling him he wasn't afraid to use them LOL - he's wise to give them a wide berth :-D

Like a scene from War Of The Worlds - attack of the carts :)
Poor Whistler, has he recovered from his mad moggie moment?

Like the others I had to chuckle :) :) :)
I did suss what you actually meant and I know what you mean, I have one of those silent stalkers, a tiny little black mog with white toes and whiskers aged 11 yrs now and still keen to pounce on my dogs when they least expect it and with a fist full of needles they know only too well who is boss :(
Cat's rule!!!

luv the typo took me a few seconds to work out how a black cart made itself stiff and tall ! lol

That's so funny..My neighbour's cats can be really cheeky at times. A few times they have jumped onto the window sill during the Summer when I have had the window slightly ajar and tried to peep in through the window. (Usually when it starts getting dark) and they have made me jump a mile seeing a pair of eyes looking at me through the window. They are brave as I have 3 dogs.. lol x
Very intelligent dog I'd say, he wasn't stupid enough to have a go, he'd absolutely have lost the battle and was clever enough to realise that, a Cocker is no match for a riled up cat, so quite the opposite a good leader knows when to pick their fights. :-D
Give him a pat. :-D Even I wouldn't wish to take on a stressed out cat!!!! And would give it a wide berth. :-D
It looked an older moggie I laughed like a drain, especially everytime he checked it wasn't after him what a wuss. You could see the cat saying p*** off cocker I'll take your face off. It was so funny, didnt even stop for a pee until it was out of sight.
Def. cats rule up that road.

LOL
I'd forgotten you have a Cocker!!
My friend's Golden Cocker used to try and chase my moggie (slab sided, tailless, tortie and white called Kali - for good reason! ) It was hysterically funny. He'd chase towards her barking, she'd take one look and roll on the ground reaching towards him and flexing her claws ("bring it on big boy!") and he'd then run yelping up the lane to his garden and hide as if the hounds of hell were after him. She never chased him, just sat licking her paws smugly :-D (although she had been known to chase dogs who had tried to attack her and box their ears )
Is it a Cocker thing?

Awww me and Ima have a killer cat stalker near our house and it follows us for ages, hissing and standing tall.... Ima looks at it as if its daft and so do I...... Never attacked us, it just amuses me how it follows us on our walk ha ha.
Cats are fantastic!! I'm sure i was a cat in a previous life, I love curling up in the warmth and like fish, oh and i'm quite clean LOL :-D x
If it was a pheasant we would be having it for tea!! But cats no no could be dangerous, def. a cocker thing they are softies. It was the frantic over the shoulder look, "blimey its still coming for me". He peed for ages when it was out of sight!!
