Help,
I have 15 month old Boxer, my problem with Bailey is that although
he is excellent off the lead when there is no one around as soon as
he see's another person or dog he runs to them no matter how much I
try to stop him. Walking in the opposite direction occasionally works
but I want him to ignore these distractions altoghether.
He was brought up with a two other dogs as a pup and I wonder if this is why he has no fear of any dogs.... he thinks they all want to play. How can I possibly stop him from wanting to go up to every dog he see's?

hiya
I,m no expert (not by a long chalk !)but I have the same problem with a 10mth dobe the advice I've been given is ---try and make him obssesd with one toy and then when you are out this toy can be produced when the distraction appears he should be more interested in the toy than in the other dog or person also try and teach him the watch command ( to look at you and be focusing on you also if there is the possability of other dogs or people being around then keep him on a long line ( I use a horse rope ) the more times he ignores the recall the more he thinks it is acceptable.we are working an all of this ,it's not easy but hopefully it will pay off . like I say I'm not an expert so if anyone else wants to chip in then please do I'm open to advice also (good luck )
