Has anyone heard or experienced this?  I had a puppy enquiry last night and their previous puppy died as a result of this - diagnosed too late to treat.

Googling turns up a lot of information about neospora caninum. Basically it's a parasite, usually passed to dogs through meat (particularly beef). It's said that beef mince should only be fed to dogs after freezing and thawing to hopefully kill the parasite. Puppies are apparently usually infected before birth.

Further information.

Anyone had personal experience of it - especially the BARF people?
