Does anyone have any info on travelling to germany with a puppy
She will be 11 weeks of age, had both vaccination, microchipped and vetchecked
do they need a rabies vaccination, and special worming like tapeworm
she will not be coming back to the UK with me

It is best to contact the embasy of the country yoru going to and those you pass through.

depends on your route.

As far as I know through France they cannot travel under 3 months and must be Rabies vaccinated and a month must elapse since the vaccination.

Other Euro countries do not require Rabies or any other vaccinations under 12 weeks, so this is the option that those who have had pups from me in Holland and Spain took.

They did need Pet Passports, to be identified and vet checked.

I'm racking my brain to remember for sure, but I'm pretty certain that you will definitely need the rabies jab done and for everything to be entered onto the Pet Passport, as this is internationally recognised.  Also the usual healthcheck by the vet the day before travel.  That seems to be standard practice anyway.  I don't think there's anything else required.

Although rarely "policed", it is Spanish law that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies.  Of course if the pup is travelling before it's 12 weeks old this may not apply.

I found this website: http://germany.angloinfo.com/countries/germany/pettravel.asp I had never before heard of a blood test being needed for Germany but I may be wrong -hopefully somebody else will know. However they do require rabies vacc by the look of it and I don't think you can get that done before 12 weeks of age and the website says it must have been given 30 days before travel.

When we travelled through Germany last summer (ferry to Holland, then through Germany and further on) nobody checked any paperwork for the dog at all, but that would be different if it was a flight as then they do check carefully.
