Does anyone have any showgrounds that are just unlucky for them? I ask because I was at Malvern today for Gundog Society of Wales. I joked to friends when I got there that this showground has never done well for me and low and behold Millie, for only the 2nd time in her show career, she is 17 months old ( the previous time at Malvern as well) was unplaced in her class, much to  the astonishment of several champ show judges looking on ( so they informed me ) .  Now, I know Millie is not perfect lol but I have realised that in all my trips to Malvern over a period of 10 years and 5 different dogs I have picked up only 3 cards in total!!! 

Think in future it will have to be a very special judge to persuade me to go to another show there lol

Not so much unlucky showgrounds but unlucky shows, yes!! Don't know why but I never do anything at Manchester. Doesn't matter what judge is on, always rubbish. Its very odd and doesn't make sense but its true :)

Yes.. ALL of them lol..

Blackpool has never been a good showground for me.. even with Tia who has challenged twice for reserve CC.. has never been placed at Blackpool.. always made it to the final cut (from about 40dogs in those days) but never placed..

We broke the run of bad luck this year, when Both Hunter and his son Brogue were placed (albeit VHC) in their respective classes.,.

that is my unlucky showground too.  I did get my first ever ticket there, but that was oops, nearly 20 years ago!  Ever since, I have achieved absolutely nothing :-O

I do have a showground that I don't like (I won't mention it as I don't wan to offend anyone - it rains alot) but I have always done well there on the odd occasion I have been.  just don't like the place for some reason :-(

We haven't been showing for long but every time we travel to Newark and Notts venue we always do rubbish, no matter which Judge or association it is!! :-(
Like a moth to a flame I'm sure we will keep going back!! :-)

Border Union, never do anything there, but love the show and venue!!

Its the GSPA Ch Sh for me ... been at a number of venues over the years but never a lucky hunting ground !!!!
