Who writes on here regularly?
Olive1 ? Usually posts on the same subject, just like OP. :(
No interest to me I'm afraid, just like the magazine.

Oh yes, I was being particularly dense there. *slaps head* No, it's not a mag I read either.

ha ha ha ha ha i'll second that. i might get sectioned with all my ramblings to them.

Pffft, you lot knows nuffink, one of my dogs has his own website *ggg*.

Not a magazine I have read although just looked on their website and it says about a pug who has had a nose job and a face lift?? Poor thing, I suppose that is to fix some sort of breathing problem??

I used to like this magazine a few years back but they did a very negative article on my breed following Pedigree Dogs Exposed, and generally do seem to like to have a dig at pedigree dogs/their breeders IMO so I now wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
Not at all surprised they have run a story about a pug who has had a nose job and a face lift (blimey!)

I might read it in WH Smiths - but certainly wouldn't buy it!

Read it once, didn't bother again.

I like the way they do articles for information on doggie events or dog friendly holidays around the whole of the UK, like Scotland and NI

real dog, true story.

Nobody is denying that it is a real dog and a true story. Just that many of us don't read it, though saying that I don't really read any of the dog magazines, I'm more into educational books by dog health specialists and on breed related subjects.

I must admit, I prefer to read factual, non-emotive articles on dogs - I can read the rest here, where I "know" the people who own the dogs (if you know what I mean).

Yes agree, I use to have a subscription to the magazine, but it started to irritate me, i found it very biest and negative.
I tend to get the papers now, but i do tend to pick up the other two occasionally. :)

how can a true story be sensationalist.

I think Boody was referring to her opinion of the general standard of reporting in the magazine, not to a particular article.

I actually find the Your Dog magazine is much better for covering doggie events and dog friendly holidays. They also do reviews on walks you can do with your dog. They also have a lot of doggie experts to help with training and veterinary matters.

i think you can tell by the front page what kind of reporting your going to get with the pug with facelift and nose job line!

Boody
everything written in the article is written by myself and not by anyone else.

i am not talking about whether it is fact or not i am saying it is advertised on the front page with that line to draw ppl in hence sensationalism!

Olive, it could be said that you are advertising something that you have a commercial interest in .....which is against TOS!
I know you didn't start this thread but......

Hi, TOS is Terms of Service.
I should also say that Olive1 has asked me to make clear that she was not paid for the article and has assured me that if she had been the money would have been donated to Pug rescue/research.
hth Jeff.
