Hi
Was anyone at this show today. I had entered but couldn't attend in the end. If anyone has a catalogue can they please let me know the entry for GSP's please. Would just be interested to know how many were in each class.
Thanks in advance

Junior Zero , PG 2 and Open 2 were entered but I don't know how many turned up sorry.

You able to do the same for the Bernese Tooolz?

Thanks very much, didn't think it would be many with south wales on the same day.

Hi there :)

Can I be cheeky and ask the gordon entry too - didn't enter this one this year.
- By tooolz Date 09.10.09 07:24 UTC
BMD ( same classification) 5 - 3 - 3

Gordons ( ditto) 1 - 1 - 2....oh dear :-(

Thanks Oh dear indeed - but same day as gundog day at SWKA so guess going to be a tricky one.

They would be better doing it in half term week tbh on putting on handling classes too - am sure would get a better entry - a weekday show is always going to be a tricky one.

I can't honestly see how a society can survive with entries like that - after paying for the venue ......... :(

For a local open show thats a normal entry for us, especially on a weekday. Shame i couldn't get the time off work, was a breed judge as well.

If it didn't clash with SWKA I think the entries would have been (and are usually higher) - but the clash with SWKA would have definitely affected things - although our entries have been down - they are still in double figures which for us for an open is good :)

I didn't want to 'waste' a days leave though this time.  Had it have been half term week then I would have been there!

Possibly mid-week shows are a risk generally with entry figures - esp. in the current climate?

It's the overheads of putting on a show that I'm thinking about Rachel.  I'm sure that the fee for Ardingly is cheaper in the week than at weekend but it wouldn't be £50. :(
I used to support Horsham when I lived in Berkshire because I like the ground for taking new pups out, but there was never much of an entry.

Oh I agree Ardingly isn't a cheap venue for sure - hopefully the other breeds i.e. non gundog hopefully had better entries :(  I have supported Horsham in the past but must admit that I am a bit more careful with my holiday days and fit around the school hols.

Shame isn't it - and nowadays I can't justify a paper entry only really!  also would hate judge to turn up and if the only entry have no dogs - esp. if they are travelling some distance!

Sorry, cant locate catalogue at present but I think only one Newf (2 entries in total...probably J -PG - O as per others turned up) and ( I think) got RBIS  to a black standard poodle.

One observation ...there were lots of Pugs and whippets :-)
- By suejaw Date 10.10.09 22:16 UTC
There are always lots of Whippets at most of the shows at Ardingly.. ;-)  Must be a popular breed i the area, not that i ever really seen any being walked..
