Harvey is going crazy at the moment and I wondered if anyone else has found that their dogs are the same? Is there a certain pollen aroung at this time of the year? Harvey seems to be worse in Spring and Autumn. Trip to the vets I think....

my dog has been very very itchy for a quite a while and i've tried loads of things - bathed in hibiscrub, frontlined, benzyl benzonate(sp) applied given piriton but nothing seems to make him better. he has very small scabs under his front arms and on his chest and when i touch them he itches even more!

going to the vets tomorrow afternoon to see what the trouble is. none of the dogs have it.

Yes, Bracken the itchy wire fox terrier has had a really bad summer. I think that very hot spell we had early on brought out the grass pollen she is allergic to much sooner than usual. She had to have her steroid injections a month early, and I have just had her back to the vets for a second set of injections, and this is the first year I have had to do this. I've found that the pollen stays around until the weather has been cold and frosty for a while, so September is never a good month for us, but this Sept is much worse than usual.

This applies to all posts. If you would like to have a free consult regarding your dog's allergy issues, please email ahh-uk@leahs.freeserve.co.uk and we'll arrange a time to speak with you. I run a small charity. You can make a donation or not but I don't stand by and read this knowing there is an answer and it is HOMEOPATHIC and it works. Try and avoid steroids as they just stop the problem temporarily but they will return and you can't go wrong with a free consult.
