OK, so it's Saturday night, you're on your own, OH is up the garden with his mistress, in my case some trollop called Harley Davidson, you've got a bottle of Blossom Hill and a packet of Doritos, fast living hmmmm :-D

You've only got one choice, all of the fancy technowidgethingumybobs are out of action and you got to make that choice :eek

Is it.........

Strictly or X Factor?
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 18.09.09 21:43 UTC
Bath and an early night with a good novel!
- By Pinky Date 18.09.09 21:47 UTC
So you're not caught up in the heat of the moment, the telly people would be so dissapointed :(
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 18.09.09 21:52 UTC
Goodo! :-) My life hasn't been wasted then!
- By Gemini05 Date 18.09.09 21:58 UTC
x factor all the way! :) so funny to watch people with talent, but also those that have no talent but are so funny to watch! :) :)
- By nemobobby [ie] Date 18.09.09 22:07 UTC
Oh yeah x factor rocks!!!!!!!
- By bernesebaby [gb] Date 19.09.09 06:19 UTC
decisions decisions !!!

good old sky plus strictly and watch x factor me thinks.
- By St.Domingo Date 19.09.09 07:03 UTC
X Factor for me again after watching last night's Strictly . I haven't watched Strictly for years but i thought i'd give it a go last night as there was nothing else on .
I couldn't believe how amateurish it was - i know it's live but there were so many points where i wondered what on earth was going on . Bruce was embarassing at times - i think it's time he gave it up !
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 19.09.09 07:42 UTC
Aww I like Bruce bless him!  Do find that Vernon's other half, her name escapes me doesn't seem comfortable though when around Bruce.  I don't know which I'll be watching, both are now starting to bore me.
- By Dakkobear [gb] Date 19.09.09 08:23 UTC
Brucie drives me nuts but I will probably watch Strictly as X-factor is repeated about 20 times during the week, so i'll still see both :-D Bit unfair to have them on at the same time though - don't understand why BBC has to take part in a ratings war with ITV when they don't rely on advertising revenue anyway!
- By Daisy [gb] Date 19.09.09 08:34 UTC
I'm with JG - won't watch either :)

Daisy

Got to be X factor for me!  Despite the fact i moan when its on, every week it somehow finds its way onto our tv screen :-D
- By Jax [gb] Date 19.09.09 08:53 UTC
I'm with JG and Daisy, in fact we don't watch any TV  :-)
- By Dogz Date 19.09.09 09:14 UTC
The X factor, though it will happen that strictly will join in as it goes on.....thank goodness for sky+.

:) :)
- By Lorripop [gb] Date 19.09.09 09:26 UTC
sky plus for x factor (get rid of adverts then) watch strictly though really not liking alesha dixon on it - she doesn't know what to say really as doesn't know enough. Brucie is alright, stupid humour but entertaining.
- By sandrah Date 19.09.09 09:59 UTC
Definately X Factor for me.  I was in the audience for one of the auditions and boot camp.  Had a fantastic time.
- By ceejay Date 19.09.09 10:30 UTC
Probabally catching up with my saved programmes - got the second Waking the Dead to watch before a new one tomorrow.  I may catch a bit of X factor - it gets a bit predictable after a while - as for ballroom dancing - yuk!!  Like watching golf - one of those things that is fun to do but really boring to watch.
- By Honeybee [gb] Date 19.09.09 10:50 UTC

> watch strictly though really not liking alesha dixon on it - she doesn't know what to say really as doesn't know enough.

I agree, I think Alesha seems lovely but it is pointless to have an amateur dancer as a judge. I used to listen with interest to Arlene's comments because she was so knowledgeable. I used to love Strictly but the format has been mucked about with so much it is getting disappointing, so might have to choose X Factor!
- By pavlova [gb] Date 19.09.09 12:29 UTC
I used to love strictly but its just not the same without Arlene as a judge,I,d have preffered they got rid of Bruno the clown so I may defect and watch x factor from now on.
- By scarlettwynter [gb] Date 19.09.09 12:42 UTC
X Factor for me too
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 19.09.09 12:44 UTC

>ballroom dancing - yuk!!  Like watching golf - one of those things that is fun to do but really boring to watch.

That's just how I feel about it too. :-)

And I loathe talent shows!
- By Moonmaiden Date 19.09.09 14:08 UTC
Channel 5 with NCIS etc on Saturday nights for me ;-) don't do X factor or SCD way too boring !
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 19.09.09 15:13 UTC
With you MM :-) NCIS is a must. Though I might still be trying to defeat a certain game on the PS2  It's driving me mad just now :-D

Don't watch any reality programmes. I find them boring, condescending, oh and very cheesy ;-)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 19.09.09 15:47 UTC

>Channel 5 with NCIS etc on Saturday nights for me

Ditto. :-) Fantastic scripts and terrific rapport between the characters. Compulsive viewing.
- By Moonmaiden Date 19.09.09 15:48 UTC
LOLOL an enclave of NCIS addicts !!!
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 19.09.09 15:49 UTC

- By suejaw Date 19.09.09 16:17 UTC
Real dilemma, love x factor, caught a bit of SCD last night but think i may end up swaying to NCIS too, Denozzo is for me.. Yummy man...
Prob will flick during the adverts to see what else, but x factor is always repeated throughout the week anyway.
SCD gets better as the dancers come into their own which takes a few weeks and when they are all dancing on the same evening.
- By flora2 [gb] Date 19.09.09 18:13 UTC
X factor for me. Rushed home at 6.50pm poured a glass of wine and discovered its not on until 8pm!
- By ceejay Date 19.09.09 20:26 UTC
Please what is NCIS - feel I am missing something here.  Brain can't work out the acronym tonight.  Oh I will just go and see what is on the box.
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 19.09.09 20:42 UTC

>Please what is NCIS

NCIS

>feel I am missing something here.

You most definitely are!
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 19.09.09 21:55 UTC
Didn't watch either, ended up watching a family with 10 children, they had two sets of twins first and then a pregnancy of 6!!!
- By HuskyGal Date 19.09.09 21:56 UTC

> As long as everyone remembers that Gibbs is mine ...!!

I don't believe it!!
She's done it again... Bagsy'd the good ones... I've only just got over you running off into the sunset with Sharpe!
- By lumphy [gb] Date 20.09.09 10:27 UTC
Watched x factor as i really need my weekly Simon Cowell fix, Sky + them both though as rest of family was out so they will watch X factor later and then i get double dose of Simon lol.

i will watch strictly at some point but as i can not abide Brusie i will fast forward his bits

I prefer Strickly when its been on a while and some of the dancers have gone. i jut feel at the start there is to many, the programes to long and you dont get to know them
