Hi My pups were 4 weeks on tuesday and today on checking them over one has what i would describe as a haemorroid - its like a little bit  of raspberry. Pup is eating well and has poo'd but it didn't seem easy for her. I have tried to gently push it back in with some KY jelly and a cotton bud but couldn't do it and didn't want to press hard. Can i use anusol to easy it for her??

going to ring the vet now but thought someone might help on here in the meantime.

None of the others have it.

spoken to vet and he said it could be a rectal prolapse! Ihave wormed them at 2 weeks and due again on tuesday - should i do her now as have just read that these are sometimes caused by worms??

He said put vasoline on it and if not retracted by monday then he will see her.

really worried for her and what to say to potential buyers who are going to be visiting.

I would worm her just now to be safe. I wouldn't be worrying about buyers are really she will be out the equation a a possible purchase of anyone until you have really ruled out any potential issue.  I would get the vet to check her anyway and have it checked over.

Sometimes they get a bit sore there are you get a bit inflamation. I have had this before. Almost like a little blisters.

Fingers crossed it is nothing too much to worry about..

thanks blue.
It is like a blood blister as very much on the outside and cant really be pushed back. spoke to another vet as I am registered at 2 practices (always keep options open and get second opions if needed) he said put some ice on to reduce swelling then try and push back but as i said it wont go. Neither of the vets felt it urgent to see today so thats good a out of hours consultation isn't cheap.

Going on monday if no better.

she is very happy in herself and as normal as the rest. wonder if she's got a bit constipated as mum not really keen on feeding them so they are having 4 meaks a day plus some whelpi each time. Not keen on water at all!
