Topic Dog Boards / Health / Optimmune Online?
- By Alfieshmalfie Date 18.08.09 17:00 UTC
Alfie unfortunately has dry eye and now has to be on Optimmune for life.  Ive got a prescription from my vets as they were going to charge me an arm and a leg for the ointment.  Can anyone recommend anywhere that they have used for cheap Optimmune please.

There is one company online (not sure if I can put up a link but it begins with p and has mart at the end of it) that is selling it for £16.77 but I cannot get through to them on the phone.

Help!

Have you read about this alternative ?

Ah yes I have thankyou :) on a bit further digging around that website, it is exactly the same ingredients as viscotears.  It doesnt have the autoimmunue ingredients that Optimmune has.  We had been using viscotears for quite a while before we have reached the Optimmune stage.

Thankyou anyway, its a good link to have in my favourites.

Ive been told that it was ok to post the link to where I got the Optimmune for £16 from.  Well I thought Id wait until I had recieved it safe and sound and that I was happy with the service before I did :)

This is the company:

Well it was shipped last Thursday, and arrived yesterday, and it appears to have come from Barbados!!!  The service has been 100%, and the Freephone number has always had a helpful person on it (I rang to make sure that they had received the email of the presciption).  Packaging was 100% and Im very happy.  One thing I would say is that it is the 'generic' version of Optimmune as that is a registered brand name, so its the same strength, same quality control, exactly the same ingredients (my vet checked it all out) its just made by Cipla and says Opticare on the box rather than Schering-Plough who make Optimmune.

Hope this helps someone else.
