Well took Sal to Sutton park today had and great walk.
I love the park even in school holidays you can be in the middle of a crowd and within 5 minutes not see a soul...  ....anyhow today in the middle of the heather and tree's not a soul in sight all of a sudden a group of walkers...all wearing bright orange appeared .....(remember the TV ad with the singing/dancing Santa's) it reminded me of that...they just appeared out of nowhere about 16-20+ of them I did not count anyhow they passed me and then one of the people in charge a lady asked me if I could show her where they were on their map...I said I wasn't really sure but about "here" and pointed and then a man and another lady said "Well that's a lot of help, don't you know for sure" and I said "I'm not the one who is lost" and walked on....strange strange people on my walks...I will watch the news to see if they are on central tonight.  Really weird....all dressed in bright orange....and not a man with a straight jacket in sight....;)

Ages and ages ago I experienced a one of these strange 'blame the innocent bystander' situations with a fellow dog walker. I was walking my Brittany and my friends Cocker spaniel along footpaths, we came to a narrow path only big enough for one person to walk down through a wheat field when I saw a man with two finish spitz dogs coming towards us. So I recalled my gundogs who were off lead heading towards this man, they came readily, I made them sit, I put on their leads, moved to the side to allow this man to pass with his dogs off lead. I had not seen the dogs before so I did not know their temperament. As they approached, one of the spitz, a male, charged at us, barking in dominant manner at us, it certainly wasn't just letting its owner know that he was aware of our presence. My dogs did not move or react. The man did not recall his dogs, instead when he came near us he said ' you should have kept them off lead', my response was 'oh'. It was fair to say I was shocked, after all I had done the right thing. If I had had time to think to respond I would have said ' well I can't gage the temperament of your dogs at a glance you know!' or more likely ' control your Ducking Fogs! :)'
