I feed nature Diet and I noticed it has been smelling disgusting just lately, especially the chicken one which Milo has to have.
I threw a couple away when opening them as I thought they had gone off.  But they are all like that and he is eating it ok with no apparent problems.
Some of the other flavours i add to Shadys like the lamb one is very stinky lately too.
Has anyone else noticed it or know why?

I am using the samon/prawn at the moment (good price at Berriewood) and not noticed any problems but its already rather pungent ..LOL

A friend who uses the chicken and lamb varieties has found a number of her pkts to be very smelly and has thrown a good number away. She is considering changing to another food as she has thrown away so many recently .. I suggested she call ND direct to discuss the problem, will nudge her again especially if others are having problems.

I've had it with fish n potato (chucked them away) and also the sensitive 'prawn' one too (1 packet)
I buy a fortnight's worth from my local pet shop.
I wasn't sure if the recent hot weather was causing it? Certainly the packets I had were well sealed
no visable holes etc in the plastic packaging.
I have to use a knife to open them as you can't just 'pull to open'. So I don't think the seal is a problem.

Certainly don't know the reasons for this.
But is disappointing as it's not cheap to throw away

I have just phoned Nature Diet and they were extremely concerned and are going to be checking the batch numbers they hold made at the same time. They said nobody else has rung them and they wish they would if they have a problem as they cannot find out what went wrong if people don't let them know these things.
They are delivering me 20 packs of thier food tomorrow to compensate me and for taking the time to ring them and let them know.
