Sorry if this is a daft question, but does anyone know where I can see a pedigree dog show? I've only ever had crosses but aspire to have a pedigree in the next few years, and I'd like to go and see some dog shows but in my area (mid wales) I can only seem to find companion shows or trials for working dogs. There was one in Builth Wells in May (I think) but I missed it, can anyone help?

depending on the breed you are interested in, contact the breed club and they will be able to tell you of any shows in or near your area :)

That was quick! Cheers guys, I'm going to have to nag my OH to take me to the Builth Wells one if I STILL havn't gotten a replacement car by then. And I'm going to be on to the leonberger club, I want one, but have only ever seen 1 in the actual flesh so want to meet lots more before I decide to go for such a large dog. :)

Also at the same venue in October is the South Wales Kennel Association championship show
Thursday 8th October Gundog and Utility Breeds
Friday 9th October Hound, Terrier and Toy breeds
Saturday 10th October Working and Pastoral breeds.

I'm hoping to get to the SWKA, but not sure on the drive over there, so many see you there.

Hi Pookin, i am going to SWKA with one of my Leos, you are more than welcome to come and meet my girl. It is rather a small entry for us with ony 45 Leos entered, Sue it is quite a treck 3 1/4 hours for me, but its an easy drive

I think you must mean WKC (August) as SWKA (October) entries haven't closed yet???? ;)

I know but with my head the thought of the M4 drive over there, not so sure. Trying to decide whether to enter and see or not, but still have a little while to make that decision. I'll have to add on 1/2hr to my journey time then from yours i would guess.
Never know my friend may take pity on me and decide she needs another dog show fix and drive me over there.. hehe..

Barbara you are right, WKC,we are their next saturday, not to sure if i will do the one in october as its our club show and all the travelling gets abit much

Sue we will have to see if there is a way we could convoy? i dont think my car is large enough for two Leos and two Bernes, unless you want to run LoL ?
