Not sure what to say about a refund,i've never had an owner come back to tell me they had a murmur, but i do know that they are not uncommon in pups and very often dissapear as the pup grows.Hopefully someone will come along who has had this dilemma before.

One of our pups had a heart murmer, as a very large puppy and a large breed to boot it wasnt a surprise, it just took him longer to develope we held him back from selling until he was about 13/ 14 weeks old by then the murmer had closed. I would hold on a little longer to see if it would heal itself

i would wait for the next check up to see if he out grown it then decside what action you fill you would like to do.

Because pups are being checked and vaccinated on average two weeks earlier more innocent developmental murmurs are picked up which have disappeared by 12 weeks.

I would ask for an update at next vaccination, and if still present again at 12 weeks.

i have experience of this. i had a puppy with identical circumstances a few years ago.....I suggested they asked an older more experienced vet to check...and...as suspected there was no heart murmur :(  Then 3 years ago had the same again and spoke to vet myself.....by 6 months it was completly gone. Had another one in the last litter. This one was genuinly serious and I bought the puppy back. He is now in a pet home having a wonderful life.

I would tell them to wait, and to ask the vet whether they can tell the difference between a real heart murmur and an innocent flow murmur which will disappear in a few weeks.

Agree with Lucydogs.  I've heard my own vet say to a breeder wait and see if it clears.
