i have been looking in the newspaper today at all the dog/pup adverts and i notice an awfull lot of bitch puppies are priced more than the males. just wondering if you folks price your pups like this and is it the norm? i have never paid extra for any of my bitches. is it just a pet breeder thing?

I suspect it is a byb ploy insinuating bitches are worth more because they can be bred from.  Good breeders don't sell most of their pups as potential breeding stock anyway, only the ones who pass muster later and have owners with enough commitment get to be bred from.

I have always believed this to be the reason and find it really annoying
