Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a lively holiday camp that takes dogs, but doesnt place you in budget/bronze/dirty accomodation because you have your family pet with you? Why do we always get discriminated against? As most dog lovers will agree we tend to treat holiday accomodation like our own homes,i.e keep it clean. We have a preference for Cornwall/Devon/south coast. We have two dogs, a Lancashire Heeler and a young Rhodesian Ridgeback. Look forward to your views.

Hi Mandingo

Sorry - can't help on the holiday camp front but just wanted to say "Hello" to a fellow RR owner who appreciates Devon :) I have 6 RRs and live in Devon :)

Good luck on your search.

Why not try a static caravan holiday people i know who own carvans rent them in season to help cover their ground rent for the year , and most i know allow dogs , and some of the sites have great entertainment . the price depends who weather you book though the camp like haven they charge alot to rent their own vans witch are sited in thesame  site with loads of private van holders who own their vans and pay ground rent and have better facilatys than if you book into one of their own though the office where you pay to use the pool .
theirs a lot of owners who rent their van privatly thu ads and its so much cheeper and you find alot will allow dogs because they own them themselfs and the in most cases the park wont allow you them if your renting their van , so its a great insentive for the people who own the vans to rent them a say 12 weeks of the season and they'v made their ground rent the van then pays for its self, and you get a great cheep holiday with kids and dogs and as if you rent private you also get to use the owners facilitys for free no extra charge, xx

Before I bought my static, I sent an email to Torquay Tourist Board.  Explained that I wanted to take 4 dogs on holiday, and they were so very helpful.

I rented a bungalow in Marldon, out in the country, but only about 3 miles from Paignton.  I'm sure that they will also have information on holiday camps.  I certainly think they are worth trying, as I found their customer service superb.

Hello sorry we havent replied sooner, you certainly are keen on the ridgies to have that many. We have admired them for many years, Jasper is our first and is just under seven months of age. They're a stunning breed and very different than other dogs and we're fascinated watching our boy develop. As for the hol we'll keep looking as it isnt an option to go without him.

There is a lot on the web page if you put in dog friendly holidays, and canal boats also take dogs. Ive done two canal boat holidays with our two dogs. Dont know about teenagers they can be antisocial!:-P
