Help!

Me and my boyfriend are looking to go away in September, beginning of, we need a fairly cheap holiday, all inclusive, for 1 week, anywhere thats nice... any recommendations of where is nice and hot in September time and fairly cheap?

Have had a look online but its hard to search through every single place would take too long... have been looking at Turkey as supposidly the weather is nice that time of year there and your more guaranteed it than in Spain..

Any help would be appriciated

Sounds lovely.  The Canary Islands are still hot at that time of year.  We were in Fuerteventura in May and it was really nice.  Stayed in a lovely all inclusive hotel in Corralejo.

What's your budget & what airport can you fly from? I found some great all inclusive deals to Egypt the other week when looking for Italy, lovely place & guaranteed good weather.  If you're willing to go a bit further afield there's some cracking deals around to the Dominican Republic, quite a long flight for a week though.  Personally I don't like all inclusive, I like to wander around the resort & try some of the local restaurants, so we tend to go B&B but it can work out a bit more expensive.

Hi, my Parents live in Tenerife and during the winter it rarely drops below the 20's, saying that we have been out in December and it is still in the 30's, the Canaries generally have great weather all year round.
We have also been to Portugal in October again with very good weather.
As said it really depends on your budget etc.

We've been to Tenerife in September, it was lovely, really warm.  We stayed in Las Americas, Los Cristianos is beautiful too.

Budget i would say around £400 each, including transfers

I can fly from either Manchester or Liverpool, preferably Manchester though...

We want all inclusive because we are only young and drink will be on the house haha! If you see what i mean, be lush!

I think we got quite a good deal at an all inclusive hotel complex.  We went into the travel agents the week before we wanted to go and booked, didn't have anywhere specific in mind, just somewhere the weather was good.

I have to say, I was surprised how good the food in the hotel was, as the only other time we've gone away all inclusive was to Mexico and the food was awful and we ate out most nights.  However, in Fuerteventura the food in the hotel was so good we didn't have any desire to eat anywhere else.

Thank you, ill take a look there, i must say we are leaning more towards turkey at the moment... has anyone been to bodrum? someone at work has been and she loves turkey and she didnt like bodrum, however knows a lot of people that do... so was wondeing if anyone had been?

My son came back from Turkey today - he was at Fetiye, not Bodrum though. He said it was too 'Brits Abroad' for him - nice enough, but he wouldn't want to go again.

I am probably having a somewhat blonde moment, but what does "too Brits Abroad" mean?

I have never been on holiday, have once and that was when i was 3 or something, and we stayed in a villa, cannot even remember it except for seeing myself on home videos... so i do not really know what to expect, Alan has been on lots of holidays so what may seem good to me, may be rubbish to him as he knows what to expect, whereas i dont, does that make sense?

He meant that there were burger bars etc - it seemed designed for British tourists, and not really very Turkish. If you go abroad you want to be somewhere different to home!

He did appreciate the lack of smothering H&S regulations though!

> He did appreciate the lack of smothering H&S regulations though! > sorry, dont understand lol

Ohh im fussy with food, so lack of Turkish food does not bother me in the slightest haha

Went to Fethiye 20 years ago and it was fabulous .  The Turkish Navy boys were having a day out at OluDeniz when we went - phoar !!!!  Think super-fit , tanned male bodies in Speedos and you can imagine it .
Went to Bodrum for a diving holiday a few years later and was disappointed at the lack of Turkishness - wouldn't go again .

It depends what sort of holiday you want . Are you a disco mad lager lout or do you like quiet holidays ?

Try Travelzoo.co.uk they list the top 20 discout holidays every week. My kids had a week in Loret De Mar allinclusive with flights ect £499 for both of them. Really good deals.

The burgers weren't good burgers ... ;-)

Lack of H&S means that holes in the pavements weren't barriered off, and people were welding in the street without shielding either their own eyes or passers-by from the light, and that sort of thing. You had to look out for your own safety.

Oh gosh, i am a bit of a ditz, so looking out for myself on that scale would probably get me put into a hospital for the night or the whole holiday! lol!

We want to have a fun time drinking, but relaxing at the same time, not bothered too much if there arent so many bars around and stuff, although would be nice for a change, although staying all inclusive will make it cheaper you see, drinking around the pool etc and just chilling for a week :D although a quiet holiday would be nice too, so not bothered really

try teletextholdiays.co.uk you can add a preference of all inclusive, budget, airports etc - you should be able to find a decent deal esp as the kids will be back at school.

be warned its usually only local stuff which is on the house, I remember one year in spain the free wine was like vinegar :(
- By yorkies4eva [gb] Date 20.07.09 11:48 UTC
I have read a few reviews from different places regarding the vinegar tasting bevvies! lol!

Booked one anyway!! Turkey, Marmaris, 7 nights, all inclusive, going on the 10th September, cannot wait :-D:-D thanks everyone!
