could do with you lots advice on something if your able :)

i'm struggling with what to do with my hair for this wedding that i'm off to. i am wearing a long halterneck and low cut dress, its white but with a really big, bold purple, pink and yellow flower pattern and i'm wearing high strappy purple shoes, a purple pashmina and have a purple clutch (trying to calm down the blast of colours with the darker purple)

onyway, i want my neck covered a little so haltery bra can't be seen. so views on the following please

Think my fave is the first one.  What's your hair like at the moment?  Length, fringe etc?

about 2 inches below the shoulder, naturally very straight though will curl with straighteners, currently has lots of layers and a side swept fringe and other front shaping.

I really like the 3rd one, looks rather stylish but natural if that makes sense

thats why i like all the first 3, they are pretty but look fairly effortless (prob not though lol).

they look natural yet stylish, my personal fave is number 3 but they are all lovely

i'm going to the hairdressers to get it done :) very excited. the only wedding i've been to before was my sis's and it was very low key where this is bigger and involves a trip :)

3rd for me too, I'd guess it could hold better as well.

I prefer the 1st one, but speaking as someone who used to have extremely straight hair, I think the 3rd will be better for you from a longevity point of view. If your hair is really straight the curl might not last from ceremony through the night, and if there is likely to be a bit of booging going on (be a shame if there wasn't), the heat might make it drop even further. The 3rd looks like it would see the course.

I like 2 & 3 because they both have height on top of the head. That's something I personally would go for as I find it helps elongate & slim my face, but I would also have some loose locks coming from just infront of my ears, to again, help slim my face and hide my ears a bit (I don't like my ears, LOL I need a new head, me thinks!).

3, I think looks sassy as well as very pretty, so that one is my fave.

1st one definitely, as it looks quite effortless and natural, as you go on through the day / evening it won't show as much 'droop' as some of the others.

I think this will be the easiest for you to do from home and is very in at the moment.
To be honest, the hairstyle you pick depends on if you are creating the style yourself or going to a hairdresser, what equipment and products you have at home and what hairtype you have.
Also, i think if the outfit is really smart then this style may be too casual?? JMHO

I don't like 3 as much as the others, just my opinion though! Have a great day whatever you eventually decide, your outfit sounds great - purple is THE best colour!

important for me as well!

i do really like 3, i might ask to have it done but a bit curlier so something between 3 and 1...

definately going to the hairdressers as it will need longevity!!

the outfits not super smart, its summer dressy. its a really bold, bright pattern on the dress that i'm calming down a bit with darker purple accessorys.

aw thanks. i was worried that the dress might be a little casual but once i've accessoried it its really not. just trying to get a tan now!!

Love the third one with the casual plait it would look stunning when the veil is removed with white flowers and prehaps sequins in the plait for the evening not loads but a few!!

That's why I think something not too sophisticated might be best - you don't want to run any risk of out-shining the bride; that would be the most appalling faux pas!

true, however if i attended in a hand made vera wang and had my hair primped by nicky clarke i could not outshine lesley- shes absolutely gorgeous and will look just stunning i am sure :)

but i do agree, i'm just concerned about it being up and not covering the back of my neck enough. must wear halter bra with the dress you see so would like the strap covered if the dress straps move.

Fab thanks for asking, I went with a slightly different style in the end due to weather etc. Can I ask how you went about finding a style? Just thinking well ahead form my own wedding, I'm gonna bankrupt myself if I spend anymore money on wedding mags looking for ideas!!

Just got back online after 2 weeks away.
Right i have to say on a personal note that i prefer number 3, its a little boho and different which is why i like it.
You're going to need to do something which will hold in your hair and not have a tendency to slip out of its style.

Is there any way you could do a half up half down style and wave your hair. You could also put mini plaits into the 2 sides in the up bits to liken the number 3 photo or not as you prefer.

Nice one thanks Kim.  Word of advice I took lots of kirby grips with me when I had my hair don, last minute dash to 'your place' but today I found a pack of over 40 in a 99p store today & have snapped them up to go in my wedding bits box.

just checked & there are 400 hair grips not 40! d'oh, even better!!
