When does the next one come out and how long after a show do I have to wait before a critique goes in?

Went to our first show on the 14th and behaved better than I thought and stood nicely...I just need practice getting him to stand better I think (oh and I need practice running round and the ring craft is off for the summer :-(  ).
I was hoping a critique would be in the paper as I was to chicken to ask afterward. Lol

Our Dogs comes out every Thursday/Friday. Depending on the show and the judge, the critiques can take 6 or 7 weeks, although some ultra-efficient champ show judges manage to get their critiques in the first available edition after the show.

To add to what crinklecut said, some judges unfortunately only send their critiques to one of the papers. My critiques from Boston (January) appeared in Dog World, I forgot to keep a copy and binned the paper, figured no worries, it will turn up in Our Dogs -it never did. And some never appear full stop. Neither paper has had a critique for my breed from a breed show in March (open show). I'm still waiting for Bath champ.show from 24th of May. Yet SKC took just a fortnight.

Some crits never reach the paper though, and if an open show usually only the class winners get a critique and at champs 1st and 2nd

Oh Marieanne i know the feeling, i am still waiting for the Critique from Paignton last year, i think it will never be writen now, really disoppointing, open shows are bad enouth but champs it is i think unforgiveable

It was a small show so I doubt it will be in ...but would have been nice all the same. I had someone tell me my boy is quite good and had other unsolicited admiration so I am happy enough with that....but I would like to know what I could improve on as I am quite sure I wasn't very good.

Think that's only for the champ shows though which is a shame - be great if all critiques were online though :)

Have you asked the Kennel Club to follow this up? As they state here, they will follow up reports of missing critiques, usually very promptly. Now that we have a route to follow, we should all ensure that judges aren't permitted to get away with not submitting a critique.

If you subscribe to Dog World, and pay by D/D, you can view the whole paper online.  This includes the show reports and crits.

To the OP - if you post the details of the show, or post a reminder in a few weeks, I'm sure someone can keep an eye out for it for you :)

Blimey, I never knew that! I thought the box that says "Search for your breed" ONLY brought up breed notes, so I never bothered as the malinois breed notes hardly ever appear in DW. I was now able to find my accidentally binned Boston critiques -thank you! :)

I have read the link posted by Lily Mc, but where/how do you contact the KC about this? I am missing a couple of Champ show critiques.
