I am just about to order some shampoo from groomers and just wondering what you thought was the best one to get?

That would depend on the breed and type of coat :) I know several people that use and rate the Royal Jelly shampoo as it encourages coat growth and condition but it doesnt alter the natural texture. The groom and detangle leaves traces of slip agents in the coat so is not recommended for show. What breed do you have?

I didn't think we were allowed to say the breed on here. I was thinking of getting the crown shampoo? What are your thoughts on that one?

you are allowed to say the breed aslong as it is not related to breeding or litters as it is considered as advertising etc.
The crown shampoo is the royal jelly one, which is good for pretty much all breeds, but there may be one that is even better for the coat type.
Oh ok. I have Cocker's. Is there a certain one for their coat? or shall I just get the Cown shampoo? Thanks very much for your help.

Emily, it can depend on what colour Cocker you have. If you have a particolour with a light coat (and white or a light roan), a shampoo for white coats can make the coat come up really clean & bright. There are lots on the market - I tend to use White on White (Chris Christensen) for our light Cockers and a basic one from the Groomers range for the darker ones. To be honest, I have tried a multitude of shampoos over the years and find most are fine for Cockers - the key to a good finish is to shampoo twice and use a conditioner afterwards.

We always use Plush Puppy products - brilliant stuff!
Thanks Jane. I have ordered the Crown coat shampoo from groomers and the coat enchancer one. I have the John Paul for white dogs too.

I use an almond shampoo on my American cocker and my Cavaliers, it's supposed to be good for a silky coat, and it certainly makes them nice and soft and smell nice! I think it's from the Animal Health Company.

Where can i get hold of the white on white shampoo please? can only see it for sale in USA

Brilliant ............. thanks very much
