For those who bait in the ring, which bait is your dogs absolute favourite one to focus on? We have a very odd one, Parmesan cheese rind :S We don't actually give it in the ring as it takes some chewing but the smell keeps their attention well.

someone at my ringcraft class absolutely swears by squirty cheese!  she actually takes the tube round with her, just squirting out a blob as and when required!!!  think it would go down well with mine, but then most edible things do :-D

I used to use liver cake but always found making it so messy, so when I found a receipe for tuna cake made in the same way but using two tins of tuna instead of the liver I gave it a try.

My lot love it and will almost do anything for it

In that case would you like to share the recipe? I've never heard of it before. Always looking for new treats.

Not a problem:

Tuna Fish Treats

2 cans of tuna in water (not oil)
2 eggs
healthy spoonful of garlic powder
1½ cups flour

Mix all stuff together - add as much flour as needed to make it form a ball of dough

Spread 1/4" thick on a baking sheet

Bake 250 for 30-40 minutes

Cut into little cubes. Refrigerate or freeze

Thats what i used to use with one of my dogs :-D  When he was a pup he used to jump for the usual treats i use (gravybones) but not for the squirty cheese it seemed to help his concentration waiting for the next blob to appear, LOL

I use tins of sardines instead of the tuna and the dogs love it. Must try tuna though.

Yuk, not good with raw meat at the best of times so def couldn't take raw chicken into the ring :S..I'd have to put my rubber gloves on first lol
