Made the hubby strawberry/banana shortcake..he had seconds too...

oh one question when they say  all-purpose flour ,  i cant find any flour that says its all purpose so what do thay mean when they say it, i have recipe for Jamaican salt fish fritters , which are lovely but this to tells you to use all purpose flour also, i just use self raising as i cant find the other anywhere, do they mean plain flour?

all purpose flour-plain flour ;-) that's why you need baking powder :-D

ok Thanks , lol i wish they'd just say plain flour lol iv been in a few shops asking for ALL Purpose flour like a daft mare when i was making the fritters, they came out nice with the self raising tho :-)

Oooh this thread has given me a kick start to head towards the cookery books....after wondering what to do with a mountain of eggs, milk, cauliflower, gooseberries and cheese.....Cauliflower cheese for dinner tonight with gooseberry fool for afters :)

Right am off to shut myself in the kitchen....Cooking day for me too

I suspect it's an american recipe they have all purpose flour not plain and self raising.
