Hi guys

My two little neices have had a hard time recently loosing there dad, and the other day they asked if we could go camping to blackpool.  I was wondering if anyone had been their camping before and if you could recommend anywhere near to the pleasure beach etc.  Or does anyone know if it would be just as cheap staying in a B and B?  there would be three adults and two kids

Have a look at the Blackpool Champ Show schedule there are sites etc. in that.  Think it's also on Fossedata.

we recently went to blackpool for just one night, camping isnt my husbands thing but i would love to give it a go. We were recommended for a bit of luxury THE BIG BLUE HOTEL, it's right on the front, well by the roller coaster and pleasure beach. Now i thought it was going to be well expensive, but i rang up and got a family room for 5 of us for £99, including breakkie the next morning. Considering the breakfast should you of bought it seperate would of been £14.50 each thus nearly being £75 on it's own, for everthing in and a bit of luxury it was well worth it. The room had a kiddie area with the bunkbeds each having a tv of their own and you could get playstations from reception with all the games to plug in. If you wanted you could pay via the hotel for the pleasure beach passes at a discount included in the package etc. On first impressions it was fantastic, one of those were you walk in and think to yourself mmmmmmmmmm this is a bit of alright- pretty posh. Recommend it to everyone. We were lucky and had 2 great days on the beach with my 3 kids being well entertained, in the evening got the tram along and ended up going for a chinese meal. It was great, and would well go back

I've stayed at the Big Blue Hotel too with my nieces, the kids bit in the room is great and it's a brilliant location.
