Topic Dog Boards / Health / cetirizine hydrochloride

I think my Leo has been stung by something.
Only tablets I have here at home have the active ingredient of cetirizine hydrochloride.
Would this be safe to give her?
She was in the garden and let out a little cry and is now holding her head slightly to the left and shaking it and doesn't want me to touch it. I can't see anythy marks, bumps etc but as it seems to be head area I would like to give her the tablet if it is safe for dogs.... Just in case

Sorry I've no idea. How about phoning your Vet? :)

I have googled it and can answer my own question:
Yes you can give it to a dog.
Poor baby is still holding her ear funny(kind of hangs it really low) but she is now taking treats and doesn't seem so bothered when I touch the hurty side.
I still can't find any marks or anything but there is a lot of hair there to hide any red mark...
