Topic Dog Boards / General / Oil based paint on my dog!
- By Dianesdog [gb] Date 23.06.09 20:50 UTC
My dog decided he was going to play with the paint tin that was sat in the garden....he now has white lips...any ideas on how to get it off?
Thanks.

Olive oil or rapeseed oil - any vegetable oil - just give it a good scrub and then wash off with fairy liquid.  If the paint has dried, put sugar on with the oil and it will help get it off him, wash with fairy afterwards.  Whatever you do don't use turps or turps substitute - it can make them ill :(

You can use vegetable oil and sugar on your hands too - leaves them lovely and soft - and clean :)

Hope this helps

let it dry then gently brush it out with a flea comb.

i hope he hasnt ingested any? Having it around his lips suggests some may have gone into his mouth? IN which case - vets ASAP !!
