how old should a puppy/dog be before testing for pra?
is it true you can test for a life time clear certificate or just the years clear available?

What bred do you have?

If your breed has a DNA tests then thats will give you a certifcate of a clear, Carrier or Affected.

ive been told two different things.
one:the pra test has to be done yearly for a clear or carrier affected result

two: you can have a blood test done send it away and it can tell you if your dog will never be affected by the disease.
im confused.surely the only way to know if she will ever become affected is if the parents have both been tested as unaffected, but then how are breeders advertsiing puppies will never be affected by pra if the test has to be done yearly??
