Can anyone help with a Caravan Park with Statics that have or allow a fenced pitch in the North West of England or North Wales? All parks I have found are open plan and dogs must be on leads at all times!! My ESS can be desperate to go spend a penny in the early hours so need a fenced area so I can just open the static door. Can anyone help? We do not require club houses and playgrounds just peace and quiet and a fenced garden for our best friends.

Could you not keep a long line next to the door that you could clip on as you let your dog out - it would be quick to do and would mean that he/she would be able to go outside but not run off. I don't think fenced sites are very common at all although I have seen some wooden chalets that have a fenced surround.

Not really an answer to your question.. but.. if all else fails.. have you thought about a playpen area, which could be positioned with the gate opening facing the caravan door.. you would only need to erect it in the evening just before going to bed, and unclip/remove/store during the daytime.. Its not a big job to do.. less than 5mins to errect and dismantle..

Thanks for the tips. I have spotted a gap in the market for caravan site owners. I'm sure people with young children would also appreciate such a site. Its amazing how quick a youngster can learn how to open the door of a caravan, a fenced pitch would give the extra mins required for parents to notice a missing toddler.

Port Haverigg/Butterflowers Holiday Village have static caravans ,some pitches are open and others are fenced off.Our caravan is on Port Haverigg and we have a small enclosed area which can be very useful for our 3 dogs during the night.
The site is in a very quiet area of West Cumbria by the sea and Hodbarrow nature reserve, it is open 12 months of the year.

Thanks a lot. I have sent an email to Butterflowers to enquire about costs for the year and vans available for sale.

Not many parks have fenced off areas... but many will allow you to put a veranda up around your van..

We are on Greenacres in Porthmadog...  we are lucky we have a corner plot, which is fenced on two side, and we have run  small runner fencing round the shrub area,,  we also have large veranda on the van... which is covered in astro turf....

Green acres has a sister site, in Pothmadog, a fe hundred yrds away.. up the bank, that is in forest land.. many of the vans there due to the layout ,  have private gardens....

But on the whole a vandana will do what you want...

This is what I mean be verandas.....  Astro Turf,  is hard wearing and washes clean..we hoover ours...
