Does anybody know of any water rescue groups near Cambridge?
We already go to Leo water rescue in Hinchinbrooke but it is every other week on sundays and it seems we will miss most of them due to other commitments.
Ideally I would like to find a group that meets every week so we could get little more practice.in  With every other week meetings if you miss one, there is whole month between training sessions so it is pretty hard for the dog to remember anything it had learned previus time...

We are going to the Blackwater Country show today - and there is a demonstration by the Newfies Water Rescue (or summat like that!) on one of the lakes - so will find out where they train.

Going to be another outing for Loki as a Veteran - they have a fun dog show - plus Freya (Fanny Fat Pants!) and Al's pup Dyssi.

That sounds like fun. My Berner is a great retriever in water(only).
Sorry can i add on here does anyone know of anything in the south-east, more so Sussex or southern Surrey areas?

That was my thought, to find newfie groups as I would think they are the top water rescue breed so should have few groups training around the country.
Not got far with my search tho.

Had a quick word with the Newfie people - saw their dogs doing their thing in the lakes, "rescuing" boats and people as well as taking champagne out to lovers adrift :)
