Dreadful story http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/8096176.stm

I know others won't agree with me but I could quite happily stamp on these thugs to give them a taste of their own medicine.  Run free at the Bridge little deer.

how sad, poor wee mite. words cant describe the 'beings' that did this.  I remember as a child a youth stuck pins through a nest of yunks. he is a pensioner now and my sister and myself still see hime as that youth. there is another sad story about a starved boxer on bbc scottish news. Sorry I cant link it up. but if you go to the bbc news and click on scotland it will come up with the film.

What is going on in the world....I hope they find who did those and name and shame them.  They should be punished and made to do supervised community work, like cleaning out sewers for 5 years on  daily basis. This has got to stop, its almost a daily occurence and it is abuse so horrific that words fail me. What sort of person does this and sleeps at night.

That is so very, very sad.  And so upsetting.

I am disgusted I cant believe anyone could do this I pray they catch these scam bags sadly what ever punishment they could legally receive would never be enough,
So I also pray that karma comes back to them 1000 times worse  and I hope before they go on to hurt another living thing,

I understand the guy who saw the incident not getting involved but myself  if it had been me who come across these thugs I would have probably got myself hurt as I could not have kept my mouth shut  nasty evil kids they want a good whipping with a horse whip 1000 lashed on the back side will do for starters,

I always blame the parents. You know that learning compassion and respect for others. both animals and people starts at a very early age. An example is my two and a half year old grandaughter who squashed a spider. she hasnt a clue that this takes its life away so she has to be told not to do it because it hurts the fly/worm/wasp. I think all kids go through this stage, dont they? I explain that its mummy and daddy will be very sad because said fly wont be going home again because it hurts too much. I teach her how to stroke the dogs, gently because little ones tend to squeeze dont they. I wonder if the parents of these kids just dont take much interest in what their kids are doing. Maybe they dont care and so the kids dont learn about compassion, respect etc. My daughter disagrees somewhat and says that whilst that is the case most of the time, some children/adults are just sociopaths and will never be anything different. Like you all, if I could get hold of these thugs I would string them up by their b.... . I try to look for reasons behind it because it scares me to death. It seems to be happening more and more. How can we stop it if we dont know why they do it??

Update on this - two local 17 year olds and one 15 year old, all male, arrested by police.
- By Lindsay Date 15.06.09 17:15 UTC
Oh fantastic Annie! This is not too far from me - about half an hour's car ride and it's a beautiful place, a nature reserve area also if I'm right.

I hope they get the very worst punishment possible.

The comment from the policeman was correct - they need serious long term help as they will not otherwise be any use in society and what will they do next??

Personally I'd like to wipe them from the face of the earth.

Can you imagine them as parents? maybe even dog owners in the future?

Disgusting horrible individuals.
- By Annie ns Date 15.06.09 19:05 UTC
Sadly, I doubt they will even be named and shamed :(, let alone a worthwhile punishment.  I'm glad they've caught them though.

Fantastic news!! I can't comment otherwise as my emotions in instances like this get the better of me, but I'm very happy they have been caught. :-)

Ive never seen my OH so angry so heartless they grew into worse monster's sometimes I do despair.
- By Annie ns Date 16.06.09 15:58 UTC
I didn't think I could feel worse but what really brought the horror of this attack home to me was when I was catching up on some episodes of Springwatch recently and they had the most beautiful baby deer on there.

Like you and your OH Whistler, I also despair. :(
