I think with these increases M&S are going to price themselves out of the business (maybe that's what they are hoping for!?).

I've got 5 of mine with AXA now and the premiums don't (yet) go up by huge amounts at each renewal, infact one went down!

M&S home insurance is still with AXA, and have gone up extortionately!  Definitely going to look around when it's due for renewal

Sorry off topic, but my M&S home insurance went up from £250ish to £530, when I rang up and told them the other quotes, they matched it £240!  Worth ringing up.

Homebase doing a similar policy to pet paln basic cover- £15 per month petplan $7.50 Homebase. Only covers vet bills to around £4k and third party liability in accident but this is all I need

Oh no, I have Jasper and Henry's renewal from petplan, sat here in front of me unopened - I think I will do it later!
That increase has to be wrong???

Petplan are overpriced now. We had a whopping increase last year and i dread to think what its going to be this year. They don't do their unlimited vets bills now, they've stopped that policy..
My quote for my new pup was £80 something a month, he was only a few weeks old and no medical history to him, as in he'd not needed any vet treatment at this stage. He is with the KC at this time as they are £45p/m..
When things go wrong with Bernese it goes wrong big time with big bills, so have to go for top insurance.

Perry - Whats your increase???

How come the Kennel Club won't insure her?

My boy (now 5) has been with the Kennel Club all his life. He started off at £20something a month then it's gradually gone up. Had a big leap last month from £37 to £48. He's had problems from about 5 months old though and I think we have easily claimed over £10,000  They have always been great and pay out within just a couple of weeks, no questions asked. Excess been £50 all this time, but now gone up to £60. Still not bad compared to what I hear about others.

well i just dont understand why people use these supermarkets for such things. I dont ring pet plan to buy a bra. I reckon best to stick to what you know....M&S know bras and petplan know insuring dogs!!

just to let you know I have opened the petplan renewals for my boys and both have increased by  approx £1 per month so not too bad.  I'm wondering if this is because they are both still young 3 & 4 maybe it increases more with age?  So it is is £27.23 per month for my 3 year old golden retriever and £19.92 per month for my 4 year old cross.

Again, its a case of read the small print. Last year M&S wrote to me with the renewal & "invited" me to go with their new Premier Plan. The then current plan was the same as the Premier for ALL vet treatments, £7000, annual cover.  Thats the bit I'm concerned with, not all the add-ons. Another booklet contained the information that Vet fees was £7k (& old type cover was now £4k), & cover per condition = No limit. Confused? I am, especially as one claim has totalled £3k (which to be fair they've paid) & another newer claim for a seperate condition is, so far, over £4k. Has anyone queried this with them or is it simple & me being thick.
