Im off to Devon at the end of July to a Baby Naming and hope to slope off at some time over the weekend to do a bit of horse riding.  Can anyone recommend a stables near to Okehampton or Tavistock area.  On Dartmoor would be nice.

hi depends on what sort of thing you want. A friend of mine, her family own a large treking stable between okehampton and tavistock. Horses are not bad, but you will prob be in a group of mixed ability on the moor. She does take more advanced riders if you let them know your needs. Thanks for that, I will investigate.  Ive heard about White Tor Stables that do Natural Horsemanship ie Pirelli.  I believe you ride western style. Sounds like a challenge. Have you heard of them?

oh yes i had forgotten about them, they are at peter Tavy. They have some very nice quarter horses there, went to buy one once!! They have a good reputation although maybe less fun!!!
