Hi all
Just after a wee bit of advice. Archie (17wk Bulldog) got a dry cough at the weekend which we thought was KC he had picked up at his puppy class. We had this confirmed by the vet on Monday and he was put on 2 drugs (rimadyl palatable tablets 20mg and antibiotics baytril 50mg) to clear this up. Thing is last night and today he has some greenish nasal discharge which we think must be related to his KC which was diagnosed on Monday. He is running about, eating, drinking and all toilets are normal. The green is not constant stream but every now and again we need to clean it off for him and I just want some reassurance that this is normal with KC and that the drugs he is on (baytril) will clear this up also. Any help is very much appreciated as dont want to be running up to the vets handing over more cash if not required. Many thanks.

Hi ya :-)
Its perfectly normal,so long as he is eating drinking and ok in himself try not to worry.
Ive heard of loads f dogs/puppies with it this week alone.

Yes.. pretty normal, though not very nice.. I had 3 dogs out of 12 get KC a couple of months ago.. one of them had the 'gunge'.. just make sure you keep his nose clean and damp, baby wipes are perfect for this.. just dont say 'blow' when you clean him up though lol.. I did (blush)
Kavc thanks for the advice, we have put our mind at rest and will monitor him but he is in top form today so we are happy.
Hi again Carloyn, you get everywhere lol. Again thanks for reassuring us, it obviously just looks worse than it actually is and as I say Archie doesn't seem bothered by it at all. The cough itself isn't really noticable anymore so dont think he had a bad case of it. Hopefully clear up soon.
