Took the kids to Cornbury Game Fair yesterday to show the ferrets. Weather was rubbish, so it was quite quiet, but great for the kids. Daughter got a 2nd and a 3rd, son got a 1st, 2nd and 4th, they got 2nd and 3rd in child handler and then son got Reserve Best in Show!! Means he qualifies for the semi final of ferret of the year. Maybe I should give up on the dogs and stick with the ferrets! Supposed to start gundog training this morning but sat here with torrential rain outside and its been thundering for the last hour. So bad even the retriever won't go out! Not looking good.

Well done. funny you shoud say about giving up the dogs as two friends of mine have done just that! Dogs are loved pets now and one is top of the tree showing mice and the other in cavies. They love it and say the fellow competitors are really welcoming and they have a great social life and days out whilst doing this.
