Computer is asking me if I want to upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.

The question is - do I?

Haven't a clue what the consequences are, or if everyone has had problems with it.

I need advice from someone who knows  :-)

Do you mean 8? I've had no problems but I don't use it much, my main browser is Firefox which I prefer.

Durrr!  Dopey me, yes I do mean 8, and wouldn't have a clue how to get/use Firefox.  Not exactly the techy type.

It's free and safe - and far faster than IE :-D   and it doesn't have the nasty backdoors that IE has that lets in little nasties ;)   I haven't had a virus or DLL, trojan or anything since using Firefox

It won't affect your computer in any bad way at all ;)
