Hello all :-)

Have any of you been to Trevornik holiday park in Cornwall? I know a few people that have been but nobody that has taken their dogs.

The beach is dog friendly so we will proberbly be spending most of the time there. I have never been to Cornwall so I really dont know much about it at all, generally is it a dog friendly place?

We are going mid August for a week. One dog loves swimming and off lead running, the other loves lying around in the sun, but has quick bursts of energy where he runs round like a loony for half an hour then goes back to sleeping :-)

Hi there we stayed in Trevornick park a couple of years ago (it's in Holywell Bay, Newquay, i think there's another big park down the road from it)  We didn't take our dogs as we were staying in one of their eurotents and dogs weren't allowed in them, but there were people with dogs there.  I think certain areas were allocated for people with dogs to stay.

We had a great time although the was a very uphill trek to access the beach, i think there was a slightly less steeper way but it took longer to get on it.

There was loads to do though there, a funpark, swimming pool, fishing etc it was great.  I'd love to go back there :-)

Took my two down to Cornwall two weeks ago, we stayed at Peren Sands, Perranporth which is just along the coast.  Didn't go to Holywell Bay but found loads of dog friendly places - not least Perranporth!  Well worth a visit, locals come from Truro on a daily basis to walk their dogs on the beach and dunes.   Really enjoyed it - took the dogs to Newquay on one day - allowed on the beach, beautifully clean, found really nice places to eat.  Enjoy, I feel quite jealous!

Yes it is in Holywell Bay, Newquay.

Im really looking forward to it :-) We are taking OH parents so they are going to be dog sitting on the few occasions that we want to go out where no dogs are allowed. I would like to go to the Eden Project, has anybody been?

Thanks for all the replys :-)

been to eden many times....very pricey and you cant take dogs in although they d o have a shaded carpark for dogs in cars, personally its not something id risk either for heat or security!!! Personally I think its overhyped and I hate all the eco warrior earbashing they try and ram down your throat....I only went to see a few plants LOL The rainforest tropical biodome is spectacular though.

I've been to the Eden Project - the structure is amazing, but it's always so crowded you can't always see what you want to; and the labelling isn't very informative. Expensive, but worth going to see once.

Oh no I couldnt leave the dogs in the car! Id worry about the little one being stolen, he would happily walk off with any stranger! I could get my OH parents to look after them while we go.

Yeah thats all I want to go and see LOL! :-)
