Hi all,

I'm doing my research, if I was wanting a show quality Italian Greyhound how much would I be expected to pay?, and what test should the parents have had?.

Thanks
Jess

How much you pay will depend on the breeder. You are just as likely to pay less from the more successfull breeders as you will from the hobby breeder. The main health problems are leg breaks, epilepsy ,colitis, pig teeth(cosmetic as oppossed to a health risk),Having said that compared to some toy breeds IGs are relatively healthy. Please research the breed before buying. This is a very agile active breed, a big dog in little package. They have a big sense of humour. Please visit breeders and go to the IG ring at shows. Let me know where you live and I will put you on to breeders in your area. There are only about 100-110 puppies a year bred so you may have to wait for the right puppy.
