Does anyone know if it is okay to have a litter the first season after a bitch having the mismate (Alizin) injection? My OH accidentially let my male dog mate with his mother while I was out 7 weeks ago! She had the mismate injection straight away. It is the new injection with very few side effects given 24 hours apart. The bitch is my foundation bitch who I show she produces well and I had been planning one last litter from her for a while but obviously not by her own son! She is showing signs of coming into season again and I don't know whether to mate her this season or wait. She is 5 and a half and this is to be her last litter. 

My bitch was given this around about xmas time as my dog managed to get to her (housemate left the dog gate open grrrr) she has now been confirmed pregnant with a litter or 10/11 so no worries at all hon :)

Thats good to know, Thanks :-) Good luck with your litter!  I was more embarrased having to go to my vet, after breeding and showing my dogs for 8 years and say - We have had a little accident, please help!
