Whoopee......had a few days in London, with my daughter and stayed with my sister.
Had a really busy and fun time.
Went to see Grease, I would like to know who else has been and what they thought if it?
I love to go to these shows and usually come out wanting to go back and see it again.....not this time though.
Was wondering if it is a case of me getting older and less impressive. It was okay...but....

Ive not been to the musical Karen and I must admit although im a big musical fan(usually film) and love the stage versions of Calamity Jane, My Fair Lady, West Side Story I have to say Grease is not one that I would go to.I dont know wether its because I think Grease is one of those films I dont think would transfer well on a stage or because I think the cast of the film are too hard an act to follow(Isnt/wasnt  Ray Quinn in the stage version???  if yes I rest my case ;) lol), but I would be interested too in seeing what others think of it

I saw "Grease" in the West end years ago and it was tremendous.  It is a musical that I could see again and again! :)

I went to see Grease on stage in Manchester a few years ago and it was rubbish, just didn't like it at all.  Yet Grease the film is my fave musical film ever - was in love with John Travolta forever after that (was only about 11 at the time!!).

I just thought that it just didn't live up to the film,  I usually love musicals on stage and screen so was very very disappointed.

I love musicals too, film usually cos they are more accessible to see over and over again. My mum and I would put on seven brides for seven brothers and oklahoma whenever we got the chance.I went to see Evita and Les Mis and Jesus Christ Superstar in Manchester and I particularly enjoyed Les Mis cos of the clever set. Also saw South Pacific in Manchester and that was fun because Rusty Lee kept stumbling over her lines and recovering and got the audience behind her, which was nice.I remember that performance too, because the woman in front of me had a hat label stuck to her hair and i had to tap her on the shoulder and whisper in her ear.:)
