I gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, bang on her due date. We have named her Elsie Mae (1st and 2nd name, not double barrelled) she weighed 7lb 14oz. The dogs have only met her briefly as they are staying with my mum until im up to walking them again, they had a good sniff of her all over then Fagan decided to try to steal her bib off the side .... I can only imagine what im going to find belonging to baby at the end of the garden !!!

congratulations!! im really pleased for you, and what a gorgeous name!

congratulations Claire, hows the world of baby sick? At least the nappy changing shouldn't be too much of a shock after poo picking with your dogs for years. Hugs to baby Elsie

Ugh, would much rather pick up dog poop than change a baby's nappy lol!
Huge congratulations on the new arrival :-D

Many congratulations. A new JHA member

Congratulations!! Makes me feel broody just to think about it. :) Enjoy all the early days no matter how hard the work -they pass SOO quickly!

congratulations.. what a good girl arriving on time... and a beautiful name as well..
>How is she sleeping at night and during the day?
she sleeps most of the day, and is only waking twice in the night so its not too bad .... but i wont become complacent !!
>Ugh, would much rather pick up dog poop than change a baby's nappy lol!
dog poo is easier - especially when fed on a good complete diet ;) we had a nice grainy mustard consistancy one yesterday which went right up her back - it took 2 baths to get her clean
>Makes me feel broody just to think about it.
I must admit I never thought I would feel quite so strongly for a baby, having always been a doggy person, but I love her to bits (even when she is screaming in the early hours).

Aaaw CONGRATULATIONS!!! What fabulous news! xx

>> Ugh, would much rather pick up dog poop than change a baby's nappy lol!
I can do anything for the dogs no matter how gross, but hated the nappy part with my own kids.
There is no way I will change another nappy, so if I have grandchildren I won't be looking after them while there in nappies.
Why is it that men can say I couldn't/won't change a nappy, yet we Mums don't get that option.

not in this house, a pooey nappy is called a daddy nappy :)
