you must have Windows Mail set as your default email program just now. If you'd rather use something else, go into your options and select an alternative - most probably (if running Vista on Home pro) the best selection will be MS Outlook :)
Go into start menu > control panel > programs > default programs > here you should find a list of default settings, scroll down, highlight MS Outlook (or Oulook Express if available) and select as your default mail program.
Then you should be able to send and receive mail as before including attachments and following on-line email links :)
