I have just finished watching Twilight for the first time on the insistence of my 17 year old daughter, and before this I couldn't quite understand the hoopla surrounding this movie or the fascination with "Edward Cullen"...
Before I admit this,I hope there are others here who share my view,or else I will be mortifiably embarrassed :-o
But I too have joined the ranks of Rob Pattinson admires....swooooon!!!
I'm a 37 year old woman,who feels like a giddy school kid,LOL!
Does anyone here share my passion for this delectable vamp?

the Twilight saga is a quadrilogy of books that they are now making into films. they are teenish fiction but a good read, i really like them. Essentially girl meets boy but boy happens to be a vampire, but a 'vegetarian' one. Edward (sexy vampire) and his (equally attractive) family don't eat people. It's about falling in love but with a bit of danger thrown in and as the books go on a tangled love triangle that might ignite a war between vampires and werewolfs.

Twilight the film came out at christmas (and as far as films of books go is actually pretty well made), New Moon is out in the autum i think.

the books are called Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn if you fancy a shifty.

lol i'm actually listening to the soundtrack of the film right now

I've seen it 5 times now. :-D

Once with my sons, once with my niece, then once of my friends, then on video twice, I love it, even hubby enjoyed it and he really isn't into vampire films, looking forward to the next in the trilogy. Yes, the guy from Harry Potter has done good!!!! :-)

have you read them carrington?
- By Carrington Date 22.05.09 15:49 UTC
I was in Waterstones as the film came out and saw the trilogy in a lovely boxset. After watching the film I definitely wanted it, but they were then selling them individually so didn't buy them. I've got 2 other books to get through yet, so when I've finished I'll pop back to see if the box set is out again.

I will get them, I want to know what happens!!!! :-) Don't tell me!

they are good (psst! its 4 of them though! don't think Breaking Dawns in paperback yet though)

even my other halfs read them after coming to see the film with me.
- By Carrington Date 22.05.09 15:57 UTC
Ahhhh............ I've only seen the box set with 3 books, so if I can't wait I'll have to have the 4th in hardback then, or have to wait even longer to get the box set in 4. Decisons, Decisions. :-D

I believe there is actually a fifth book in the planning which goes back to the beginning of the story but looks at events through Edwards eyes rather than Bella's

Well folks, I downloaded the audiobook version onto my ipod on the recommendation of all you fellow champdoggers, and I can't put the darn thing down!!  Started it in the car on Sunday, and had it on most of the day yesterday  whilst I spring cleaned the dog room.  I'm already half way through!  I long for the commute to and fro work at the moment so I can listen to it!! Hope the films as good :)

lol glad your liking it :)

the films not as good, few films of books are, but its a very good adaptation. the only minor issues i had with the film are Emmett isn't BIG enough and Alice isn't tiny. Also Carlise is perhaps a tad too pasty. All in all tiny complaints and since they all work well then its fine :)

I've read New Moon, decided to skip eclipse as my daughter is still reading it,and went straight to 'Breaking Dawn',which I have just finished :(  Brilliant,Brilliant,Brilliant!! I can not get my head around how they are going to make it into a movie??
- By dollface Date 30.05.09 14:10 UTC
Went to the movies for that cause my daughter really wanted to see it- I could have waited till it came out on DVD- then she turns around and buys the DVD and also every book- She is fascinated with the movie...

I wish Brian Lumley would make a movie about the Necroscope- great book just loved it! Now thats a vampire book that def should be made into a movie :-) I would def buy that!!!
